@Drae_Dirt April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

I just hope LE doesn’t start abusing the genealogy method cause it really is a great TOOL. I know most le proooobablyyyyyy wouldn’t do that but 👀

@TheNBAfan101 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Do defense attorneys understand how stupid they sound? Lmfao honestly. You’re saying he simply showed up and had consensual sex with a complete stranger while she was in another relationship? Please, what a pathetic defense.

@memyself-nd-i April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Found out I'm blood relation to Teddy Roosevelt

@CherryBomb-pe5qm April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Those defense lawyers are just gross.

@ginpepper April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Repeat

@ladyrazorsharp April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

My family often wonders why I watch true crime shows such as 48 Hours. I tell them it's this. When the guilty one is pulled from living a life they denied their victims and justice is done, that's why I watch.
Rest in Peace Jay and Tanya. <3

@susantharaldson529 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

29:57 So….aggressively championing your client involves denigrating the victims? Now, that's a special kind of disturbing. You become complicit in the murders yourself. Not a problem, one would think, for the morally bankrupt.

@bobmarchetti8878 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

NASA who is defying Trumps orders should be investigated by doge! NASA is a big black hole of gov waste. Elon Musk had to do their job and save the astronauts. In return Elon gets attacked by the demons. NASA is just another front for the devils out to destroy our country.

"You still miss her, don't you"? Why do interviewers ask the dumbest questions?

@beautifulsurprise9424 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

I think these interviewers can be a bit insensitive when asking these questions. Erin asks “You miss her still don’t you?” That’s his little sister he grew up with his entire life until young adulthood who was murdered in cold blood that she’s asking about for goodness sake. What did she expect him to say? Nah, I stopped thinking about her 20 years ago. Who are we talking about again? Duh, he misses her!!

I am about to get 'slaughtered' with negative feedback, but I would like to see a nationwide data base of ALL DNA. For example, as of Jan 1st, 2026, ALL babies born have their DNA taken and stored in this data base. And that's where it sits. The next time we find an unidentified victim, we would be able to identify them. There would never be another Jane or John Doe ever again. Granted, this would not help the generations of today, unless they willingly submitted their DNA, but eventually, we wouldn't have to wait decades to identify victims or their ki*lers. Just a thought. If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about. Mind you, employers, insurance companies, etc., would NOT have access to this data base.

@nikos9257 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Such a pity 2 beautiful young people

@adjronjohnson2335 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Me really doesn't trust the dna method but, once you are guilty of a crime, you must face the conciquencies,

@chrisk7091 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

During Covid they collected everyones dna. It’s truly too late.

@caesandraseawell1518 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

What absolute terror the 2 teens went through. It’s despicable that he didn’t plead guilty and absolutely DISGUSTING that he’d suggest it was consensual. Play that out—he never came forward to offer any support in finding them when they were missing or explanation back then? Grateful his defense didn’t have a chance. Peace to all rhe families and investigators effected by this tragedy.

@ellybean5868 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Considering he remained free for over 30 yrs, let's hope he lives a long life in prison

@lindseysteen2599 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Please get rid of the horrible intro music

@thelazycatlady April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

His female attorney is despicable. đŸ¤Ŧ

@marcelamurad2467 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Lawyers that try to defend murderes make me sickâ€Ļ.

@PaulaakaPaben April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

The Defense is so stupid, Nobody will believe she had Consential sex with him! They should have fought the DNA or went for A Plra Deal!

@Noway-hb2xu April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

This is ludicrous!!! You mean to tell me that white on white crime has been going on and I haven’t heard anything about it? Now this is history.!!

@ambr79 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

I'm glad the cases were able to be solved, but I am still EXTREMELY leery of police/investigators having access to millions of Americans' DNA in this manner.

It's a very slippery slope towards eroding our rights.

@Tony-gq8pi April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Good job amazing.
Thank you

@Tony-gq8pi April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Why do people do these things
Life is so short to do bad things. Doing good feels better.

@jasonbowman6931 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

I have a time cop after me now thats how bad its gonna get.

@amandahirschfeld7382 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Those attorneys that say he had consensual sex is disgusting. I dont know how ANY attorney can defend a disgusting person.

@amandahirschfeld7382 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

I'm glad he was caught but its not enough justice for the families cause he had 31 years that the two victims never got. May they both R.I.P🙏🕊and may he ROT IN PRISON😡

@gaylebaker8419 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

I absolutely HATE that opening theme music. Oftentimes I just exit the video without watching.

@andreagreensorde5573 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Thank God for DNA, it helps gives us truth and closure. I was adopted and found my biological mother and siblings at age 48 by DNA

@andromeda3780 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

"There's a place that I know of;
Where up above there flys a dove…
And slowly as it turns to dawn
She parts her wings and then she's gone"âŖī¸
From their pictures it's obvious that both are very well brought up young people and bright futures were awaiting ahead of them. So sad that their lives were cut short 💔

@DoctorCheryl April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Jay's mother literally broke my heart. I still have tears on my cheeks as I type this… Rest in peace, Tanya and Jay.
There but for the Grace of God…

@cebedojames April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

every single human being is related to each other if we go back 3000 years. so we are related to all both good and bad people. like Mother Teresa and Adolf Hitler.

@mabandlandamase9826 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Genealogy has been used for a very long time. So why is Brian Korberger's attorney refusing that the genetic genealogists must not be used because it is unreliable ?

@ABC-ed8cg April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

If it can help solve crimes, why not?

@danaw23 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

I hate when she says things like, “you miss her still, don’t you?” to an already crying victim’s family member

@gingersmith2888 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Doesn’t 48 Hours have anyone else that can narrate these stories besides Erin Moriarty? Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard! đŸ¤¯ Please retire Erin!!

@emmy2322 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

She was found with her pants down and her bra up, if someone else raped her and not Talbott, where is the other persons DNA? Or did they had consensual sex and she fell asleep and then was mysteriously killed with her pants down and her bra up, without being raped? cmon this is a logial mistake, it absolutely does not make sense and makes me furious!!

@honestandfair1572 April 5, 2025 - 7:16 pm

Ancestor is a tool to track everyone who gives DNA this is kinda scary
