They don’t want to go to hostels because they won’t be allowed to feed their addictions in there. Not many can actually be helped.
Great to see a fellow manc with a passion for heartfelt documentaries like myself. You have given me the spur on to do more content on topics like this. Feel free to check out my one on immigration and let me know.what you think. Wishing u all the best
Spent a nite in a multi share hostel room last year. There was a fart followed by its stench being pumped out roughly every 8 minutes among the 9 guys in there.
In the 1930's with so many out of work, homeless people and families, they had Hoovervilles everywhere across the USA. Simple wooden, one or two room buildings that were shelters for people that had been kicked out of their rental homes and farms. They were dry and afforded people a place to sleep out of the elements. Things need a reset, back to affordability. Yes, hard on people, but a reset is very much needed. My ancestors complained that the rental house they moved to in BC from the prairies, in 1933, was highway robbery at $5 a month rent. It was empty, they said, so why so much to rent??? For 11 people. Now that same house would be $5800 on 5 acres to rent. Reasonable? Not in the least!
IT looks cold in England.
Blame internationalised corporatised financial warfare and its holder's.
rough sleepers do leave a lot of rubbish about there are plenty of bins around !
The council put them all in hotels threw covid, then when that went, it went back too
normal again.. hostels is a breeding ground for drug dealers and bullys grafting everyones stuff so their often know good
When rough sleepers do get sometimes somewhere offered too them it often doesn't last long until they back on the streets again that's also a big problem when trying too help them a lot of them have too be ready too accept the support and help too get off the streets unitl they Ara ready not much can be done the only person that can make a change is the person and there is help out there is just simple they not Don't want it
When someone has lived on the streets for years and mouths and mouths it can be difficult too get back into a normal Way of life and a lot of rough sleepers Ara on drink and are on drugs with that it can be quiet difficult too get people off the streets
I don't mean this to sound anything but respectful but I must say it. The first chap Richard. The way he spoke is words, his cadence was that of a modern day writing of Scrooge. His words held so much pain it made me cry. You can feel the pain pour out of him and the lived experience of suffering and homelessness drip from his words like blood from a gaping wound. It's as if Richard has tapped directly all the pain the streets hold and distilled it into his every word.
That's how spent lockdown homeless destroying horrible things in the world!
😔😔😔😔
Thats face it no one can actually stop someone become homless and if they could stop homless they pobrobly would of done it a vary long time ago its just too late now
When someone has been homless for such a long time it can become vary difficult for them too have a place too live because alot of the Have drug addiction or alcohol addiction and mental health issues thats why a lot of the time they wouldn't be able too handle the indoors lifestyle because then they would have too be sober and alot of them don't always want too be clean of drink or drugs thats why a lot of the time it can be vary hard too get them somewhere again too live at The end of the day
We should build large areas where we can use skips to let homeless live in.When you see the amount of unused skips left at building sites it’s disgraceful. The homeless could turn disused skips into decent homes with just a bit of plastic covering it would keep the rain off them.
I'm so sick of these sob stories, it's always someone else's fault with these guys… No, you made choices throughout your life and now you have to reap what you sow. For anyone who is reading this comment, take action, start being a financially responsible adult who makes good choices, before it's too late and you end up like these people.
I hear there's a party in Westminster they can all go there
I hope u guys are serving those homeless people vegan food and not meat. Destroying other sentient beings life in order to help human beings is not a proper solution. We should respect both life equally. They are all sensitive living beings who need love and care!
Sad this shouldn't be happening in UK 🇬🇧 but it is happening,we should rebuild old houses for cheap to homeless people and those who can't afford to get on the property ladder,, this would help and tiredy up the area,,
What's bad is there are people homeless while the government is putting illegal immigrants (dinghy divers) up in hotels😮 also, drug dealers are utter scumbags.
charities make a lot of money on the backs of people who sit on the street and these charities have several employees who are spent on the employees' salaries. an employee has a salary of 2 thousand pounds per month, which if there are 10 employees is 20,000 pounds on the employees and the food is all from donations. if you go to their warehouse, the canned goods and certain products that can stay for a longer period are expired, but still they cook with these expired foods but it is overlooked. a lot of money is made on the backs of poor people and many charities grow rich, and yet they help you nothing.
When I was young Squatting was Legal in the UK and we had 'Squatters Rights,' We would fix up abandoned houses, which kept rats and mice away from neighbours properties. We would get the gas and electric turned on and paid the bills. We painted them inside , none of us took drugs – we didn't even drink. But we did WORK And paid our Taxes. Honestly this is the answer , as Councils can't cope with the amount of homeslessness and the Government couldn't care less about building more low – rent places to live. Were we wrong to turn abandoned houses , left to rot, to turn them into very nice living accomdation , paid for with our own money ? In my opimion, we need to make Squatting of derelict houses Legal again.
Sad , f..king sad . Meanwhile illegals who have broken into our country living in 4 star hotels , all found and costing the tax payer millions per day ! SCANDALOUS ! How this money could help OUR homeless .
I have very limited sympathy for homeless, if any. The government do provide them with warm and safe accommodation, yet these people think its not up to their standard and "CHOOSE" to live in the street. It's their choice. Nobody can do anything unless they help themselves.
Thanks for making this, I gotta say you are very familar and I cant remember where I know you from lol
havnt they ever heard of a passport

Gotta love these socialists. They sure have a ton of ideas on how to spend other people's money.
