In some countries you cannot even start to question a youth with out a parent AND lawyer, also no one can be questioned for hours no matter the age.

@sandycromhout9850 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

This is not really 48 Hours is it?

Regarding the Johnson case: a certain Campbell, a friend of Johnson's, just like the victim, was arrested along with him. Nothing is revealed about the reason for the arrest, clues, evidences, witnesses etc. nor about the man himself. Johnson, however, later stated that Campbell had fired the shots. But there were two perpetrators. The police arrested one of them – apparently rightfully so. Only the second arrested man, Campbell's friend Johnson, was wrongfully arrested. He was innocent? An alibi from a girlfriend is of little value, as is measuring the distance and time to reach the crime scene, because it cannot be proven with certainty whether Johnson was actually at home at the time of the crime. His guilt was supposedly fabricated by the cops they say, but Campbell's wasn't? All three involved were questionable characters from the criminal underworld. I can hardly buy the whole story about bad cops and Johnson being wrongfully convicted.

They try to blame it on investigators but honestly it comes from the people above them it’s how many cases they close no matter what which turns out that’s all that matters instead of real facts and proof it’s about numbers and sadly innocent people pay the price they need to start looking at themselves and how they can sleep at night I want them to start paying the same price meaning jail time when they are finally proved innocent I think the people that put them behind bars should have to go to jail for the same amount of time. That’s just how I feel about it.

@NikkiIvy April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

They don’t want to be sued that is why his name is not cleared, it is all about money

@NikkiIvy April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Not so democratic country at all

@benoniamupepe8505 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

So what happens to those who wrongfully convict innocent people?

@podcastdeisabelyruben April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Johnson is not entitled to financial compensation!!?? That man missed every important day of his family's life, Christmas, and his daughter's school graduation, and was in jail all his young days, and you're telling me that the state won't give him $1 !!! WOW!!! HE SHOULD HAVE A MONTHLY ALLOWANCE; he has a criminal record and will have a hard time finding a job! Missouri, you all need to do better.

@ashley2591 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

he is wearing a gojira shirt. what murdereeerrrr

@JoyGardner-wj2qy April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Bless his Mom. The son GOD BLESS HIM. Complete incompetence on this case. They didn't do their job at all just focusing on her son. I know money don't buy his x and loss.of x. He still needs to sue all. Very incompetent law there. Blessings to all. ❤🎉

@kevinnestor-z7t April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Why didn’t they test other shoes made of same material to see if the dog would hit on all of them?

@hadrienneee April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Can't believe that George/Jorge can even sleep at night knowing he pointed out the wrong person and have him jailed.

@traceyingham1087 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

I’m so angry & disgusted by this.. this poor kid was bullied & ultimately railroaded into this with no one in his corner at least as far as law enforcement..incredibly alarming & shameful for the perpetrators (AKA law enforcement & the judicial system)

@traceyingham1087 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Okay…not for nothing..a 14 year old asking “what is going to happen to her truck?” Means NOTHING hes 14 & no matter how old someone is when you lose a parent or God anyone you’re that especially close with suddenly,,weird things may be said or asked about..And what teen boy or girl doesn’t argue with their parents? No..this is terrible

@jangosavdjdubsak1079 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

He was out looking for Cougars, not Deer😅

@dreamofmermaids April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Omg I can hardly listen. So incredibly heartbreaking!!!
This man is a hero!!
The injustice is disgusting!

@willpompe April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Michael was innocent

@Smiley-oz6ip April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

What time did this guy get killed? If it was at night less traffic why are they trying to get time during the day?

@KiKi519_ April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Michael’s life was completely ruined by his father, the state of Missouri, his original lawyer, and his bff Josh.

@IngramPetersJr-nr7rm April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

I held my breath as the judge read the verdict. So happy for Lamar. Now he could give his daughter away.

@Hadrumas April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

After the end of the war and the Hitler dictatorship, people like Attorney General Eric Schmidt could be called "terrible lawyers" in Germany, and the Constitutional Court confirmed this. They were lawyers who concealed knowing injustice or even malicious attitudes and character behind formal legal subtleties or excuses.

@IngramPetersJr-nr7rm April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Forget a black man, it's every man's fear to sit in jail for a crime they didn't commit.

@mom6701 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

the father who set him up, the friend who lied and framed him, and the pig cops who were so corrupt, along with the pig jury and the pig judge will have to suffer the consequences either in this life or after life. They are all cowards and rotten to the core.

@mysterymaverick1982 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

I applaud the prosecutor on lamars case not many are willing to admit they were wrong and try to make it right.

@sonjadeklerk6564 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Kids do say stupid things when young. But it doesn't mean he meant it. Motive.. what was it?

@chrisk7091 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Poor kid never got a chance. Hopefully he’ll have a better life.

@jlee1936 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Good for that judge. It’s difficult to stand up amidst corruption . I’m sure he faced negative consequences for his decision. Unfortunately this happens more often than you would think, I see it in a forensic psych facility I work at. You could tell the judge’s opinion as soon as he heard the prosecutors opening statement

@scarywiggles1894 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Is it possible to be more Guilty?

@TheEsquireOfSportsFSU April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

That Gant-Benalcazar guy acts like a wannabe Ted Bundy.

@Kre410 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Imagine being sent to a Salvadoran torture prison when even the ppl who sent you there admit it was an error….but won’t get you out.

@Z8Q8 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

2nd story: 2 flaky slime-bags for the price of one!

@jennadarby1 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Our "justice system" is seriously flawed. They know the man is innocent and still refuse to vacate his conviction. The wrong people (many who are undiagnosed legit Cluster B Narcissists) are in positions of authority.

@rosalynrose3747 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

I know it was a wrongful conviction. Just maybe that is what he needed to do some healing and not go off the deep end. No one knows what kind of trouble he would of gotten into if he hadn't gone to jail. Please don't come @ me. I only wish the best for him.

@Thulz. April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

They expected a 14 year boy to roll on the ground crying in order to believe he was innocent, crazy.

@RJ1234-d1s April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Those jurors were not caring enough to see there was not case against him… despicable..

@cindymagrum6649 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

It's no longer innocent until proven guilty. It's GUILTY until PROVEN INNOCENT. And that's a HUUUUUGE problem !!

@DebbiePrice-yb1fi April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

First case with Michael, the reason the prosecution didn’t call his friend to testify is because they were focused only on a win. This is almost a Brady violation by them giving the kid immunity, which gives the perception that he’s got something to say, and then not calling him to testify. This isn’t justice, this was malicious prosecution of a juvenile so you can close a case and put up another win for the good guys! Ugh

@nazufani4016 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

The Shape of a Killer: A thief & a serial killer…..what a combo.

@garthwaiteglynis1669 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Oh goodness cannot stop crying with happiness for Michael Politte. Have a great life my darling❣❣❣. Thank you for sharing x

@Rugelacharugula April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

Think about what happened in your life during the time these people were wrongfully trapped in prison. That’s what was stolen from them. I hope they are able to find some semblance of peace & joy.

@misstortitude April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

So many of these cases where a shocked and bereaved person isn't allowed to grieve, because they are under scrutiny, being questioned and often wrongly accused.

@leesiboy3039 April 17, 2025 - 7:20 pm

38:40 Attorney General is clearly corrupt! WTF 😤😤
