The fact that world population can be 12 billion, combined with reduced efforts to reduce carbon emissions and increase non-cooperations paints a picture maybe the great filter theory is all about entropy causing the fundamentals of socio-economic fabric of civilisation to stop functioning against adverse existential risks that is 100% avoidable.

@cvan7681 April 20, 2025 - 1:26 pm

3 degrees where? Everywhere? Won't happen, the earth doesn't work that way. Funny how these videos and articles never mention that 10 times as many people die of cold than excess heat.

@smilodon1047 April 20, 2025 - 1:26 pm

My Grandfather said that it used to be bone chilling cold in Western part of Undivided India ( now bangladesh ). Till March and April the climate used to cool. They used to have spring but now after winter it's straight heatwaves of summer.

@smilodon1047 April 20, 2025 - 1:26 pm

The farm I grew up on died when an interstate highway opened upwind. Everything died, including the fish in the lake. That was sixty years ago. There was plenty of time to fix what is wrong.

@Eqveraz April 20, 2025 - 1:26 pm

The fact that i ve noiced " 3 years ago" only after watching video is crazy. I mean 3 years ago situation was that bad, then what is now?

@StartChangeNow21 April 20, 2025 - 1:26 pm

Its sad that we have known this since the 70s and yet we are still trying to get people to simply believe it yet alone understand the severity. We desperately need a replacement for fossil fuels and i dont believe electric cars are the answer. I hope im wrong but those batteries are way too inefficient, short lived, and the mining for those materials and metals is just as harmful to our environment as drilling and burning oil. We need to harness solar power wherever possible… but thats just a start

@philipperapaccioli2868 April 20, 2025 - 1:26 pm

How about taking personal responsibility. Eating less meat, especially red meat, stop flying for vacation, buying far less stuff, driving smaller cars, living in smaller homes, if possible living closer to work, using public transportation when available, lowering the heat in winter, using natural night time ventilation in the summer…

@MichaelConstantine92 April 20, 2025 - 1:26 pm

We are already there. FEMA shutting down and oligarchs defunding emergency programs and safety nets for climate refugees in America. Prepare for it. It's here.
