California has the narrative that hates farming. It’s bad for the planet they say. They don’t need to farm. They just go to Walmart for food.🤦🏻 most likely land developers behind that narrative

There is a program that is used toʻ compensate "Displaced Persons" Imminent Domain., and I was given 42 months of living costs, plus moving expenses. I had to fight to get what ended up being about $63,000.00. The precedent is set and guidelines exist.

RICO violates? Park service and environmental groups.

I think there’s hope for ranchers bc the last regime is out! Albeit there’s an agenda against our ranchers going on here and even in Europe.

Oh don’t worry they have “reintroduced “ the wolves and allowed Mountain Lions proliferate south of there with the Santa Cruz Puma Project and relocated them all around the area. In regards to the Tule Elk comment with them roaming all over the place and increasing in population

I am from Sonoma County and have been here since 1995. I love West Marin and I love Strauss Creamery and their wonderful dairy products. We have the greatest farmers here in Northern California. This is a great place for people to live and animals to thrive!

The park service and the ranchers blew it. There were too many Tule elk and too many cows. The land was overgrazed. The elk needed to be culled and the cows needed to be less dense. And the houses workers live in are nasty shacks. Simple tale of greed, ie human folly. Now that the cows are gone and the elk run free the elk will be hit by cars. The current cow fences will not hold them back. Then the park service will build better fences. The elk will continue to suffer from malnutrition and inbreeding. Where are the wolves?

Just to make a point the elks name is pronounced (too: Lee). You would think that he is so involved he would know that.

Secret documents which might contain who might benefit down the road. I am thinking that the National Parks will be pushing for developments. It is a beautiful area that I have visited for decades. If you think these environmentalists care about the Thule Elk then you are just not being realistic.

Cali gov is evil. I always knew that the evil government would do this to them.

@kathleenblanchard7971 April 19, 2025 - 3:04 pm

Well maybe I'm just really thick, but what I heard is the most pointless nonsense ever…they're worried about the elk overpopulating the land allotted to them and starving, so we must get all those cows out, but we won't let the elk graze the ranchland- we're going to bring in other cows (obviously better cows than the ones there now)…and how did this improve anything for the elk? WTF!?!

There seems to be a war against ranchers across the US. I was just reading about ranchers being arrested on the east cost, and their ranches being taken away. No one could say exactly what the ranchers were arrested for. It’s not about environmental protection, it’s about money in my opinion. It makes me wonder who could be making money by pushing cattle out.

@sfarch1 April 19, 2025 - 3:04 pm

And what does Mr Giacomini think this Administration will do when they discover many of the residents of the housing are undocumented or 'illegal'?

Clearly we don't hate environmental groups enough. He's right this is terrorism.

What next, closing all the hiking trails?

@jenniferdykes50 April 19, 2025 - 3:04 pm

I love Strauss dairy products! I hope they aren’t affected by this! 😢

@msbutterbeans April 19, 2025 - 3:04 pm

What an excellent report thank you so much for this information
I am inspired to get involved and help in any way I can as a beef and dairy consumer whose first preference is Strauss creamery milk and I live 100 miles from Marin

@huntersmillie00 April 19, 2025 - 3:04 pm

Hopefully the Dept of Interior can step in and save these ranchers.

Is this a master plan to remove local dairies,etc so corporate dairies are centralized and the land will be developed for expensive homes and condos?
